My mum has always been an advocate of taking care of your skin. For as long as I can remember she has been buying my sister and I the latest and greatest concoctions. I know in the future it is going to be something that I will be extremely grateful for as skincare is something that I can be pretty lazy with. I think it is partly because I have been extremely fortunate and had pretty good skin for most of my life with just the odd spot every once and awhile.
However last year I had quite a bad breakout and started to look for something new to try to balance everything out again (wow I should be on a proactive commercial). I used QV skincare for quite a few months and it settled my skin back down quite quickly. I think QV is a great skincare option if you have sensitive skin or if you are on a budget.
Once my skin had settled back down I tried to move back to Clinique (as it is expensive and I had barely touched the most recent bottles I had bought) but it left my skin feeling raw and the alcohol smell really got to me, where as I had never noticed it before.
My sister stepped in at this time and bought me some Arbonne
products for my birthday in December and since that time I seem to be converted. The products are really soft and gentle on my skin with no yucky alcohol smell and I haven’t had any major breakouts in the last three months. I have also started using the primer and foundation and feel like it gives me a flawless look, that looks natural and isn’t too heavy or clumpy.
As I am not the expert on all things Arbonne I had a chat to my friend Kelly who is an Arbonne consultant and who my sister originally got my products through to give you a little more information on the company and the product because maybe Arbonne is a product you would be interested in and I wanted to be able to provide food for thought.
How long have you been involved with Arbonne and what drew you to working for the company?
My friend Sophie
originally introduced me to the company and I have been an independent consultant for 6 months and I love it. I am a qualified Registered Nurse in a paediatric unit and decided to start my own Arbonne business because I want to be at home for as long as I can when I have children. I am absolutely passionate about paediatric nursing however I can not do nursing from home while raising a family. This company allows me to build a successful business around my already busy life right now. I am in the process of planning my wedding and renovations to our new house and the extra income is really helpful.
Why should people switch to Arbonne?
One of the main reasons would be the ingredients in our products but also just as importantly the ingredients that we don’t use. Arbonne products are set apart from other cosmetic brands because:
– Dermatoligist tested
– Opthamoligist tested
– No parabens or phthalates
– Vegan approved
– Never tested on animals (I checked the PETA website and it supports this)
– Formulated without dyes, mineral oils, chemical fragrances
– No animal or animal by products
– No petroleum
– No formaldehyde
A note from Megan – before using Arbonne I didn’t take much notice of the products used in cosmetics but while composing this piece I researched a number of the above products and there known associated health risks, if you are interested here is some links to some articles on the use of petroleum, formaldehyde and parabens and phthalates.
What is the most popular Arbonne product?
Arbonne’s most popular product would have to be the Primer. It is unlike any other primer you would have ever tried. Its super silky and has many added benefits. The one thing that Arbonne cosmetics strive for is its long lasting affect, the primer is renowned to enhance your foundations staying power and allow you to get through the whole day without having to worry about your make up wearing off, it absorbs oil and sweat throughout the day and has opti-light technology to create a flawless finish.
What is your favourite product?
My favourite Product would have to be the FC5 complexion revitalising set. I am in love with this skin care set as it is formulated to preserve, protect and revitalise skins beauty while maintaining its healthy appearance. It contains fresh cells naturally derived from kiwi, strawberry, mango, pumpkin and carrot, so as you can imagine it smells divine. Since using this product on a daily basis I have noticed a phenomenal difference in my skins appearance. I get compliments on my younger dewy looking skin. Its fantastic value and lasts for 5 months.

*This is not a paid review, I buy all of my own Arbonne products and genuinely love and endorse this brand and the products I have tried so far.
